Aftercare Advice

Inktention Tattoo

Taking proper care of your tattoo after getting it done is essential to ensure optimal healing and preserve the quality of the design. Follow these recommendations:

Wash your hands before touching your tattoo

Before handling your tattoo, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap and water to prevent infections.

Wash the area with antibacterial soap and pat dry

Gently clean your tattoo with warm water and antibacterial soap. Do not rub—use a clean towel or paper towel to pat it dry.

Apply the ointment recommended by your tattoo artist

Use the cream or ointment suggested by your tattoo artist to keep the skin hydrated and promote healing. Avoid products that contain fragrances or alcohol.

Let your tattoo breathe

Do not keep your tattoo constantly covered. It needs oxygen to heal properly. Avoid tight clothing that could cause irritation.

Do not scratch or pick at scabs

It is normal for scabs to form, and your tattoo may itch during the healing process. Do not pick at or scratch it, as this can affect the color and details of the design.

Avoid prolonged sun exposure and always apply SPF

The sun can damage your tattoo’s pigments. Once healed, apply high-SPF sunscreen to maintain vibrant colors and prevent premature fading.
